After succesfully passing all the proceedings needed to become a professor during last autumn, František Štěpánek was officially appointed on June 11, 2013 by the president of Czech republic.
The professor title is the highest pedagogical-academic title in Czech Republic. This very prestigious title is awarded by the president to university teachers who excel in a specific field of science and have special merits in both research and university teaching.
